What is your primary product or service?
Ascension Lutheran Church and Preschool serves the worshiping community and provides a low-cost preschool. Ascension Lutheran Church hosts addiction recovery programs and many ministries within our organization.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
We are ministerial, Lutheran-based, faith-based professionals whose mission is to share God's love and grace through the teaching of Jesus Christ.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
A living, daring confidence in God’s grace.
When Lutherans talk about faith, we are talking about the relationship God’s Holy Spirit creates with us. It’s a relationship where God’s promise of steadfast love and mercy in Jesus opens us to a life of bold trust in God and joyful, generous service to everyone we know and meet in daily life.
Martin Luther was exuberant when he described the freedom of “a living, daring confidence in God’s grace, so sure and certain that believers would stake their lives on it a thousand times.” He once wrote, “Oh, it is a living, busy, active, mighty thing, this faith. It is impossible for it not to be doing good things unceasingly.”
Faith convictions expressed as statements of belief flow from this confident trust in God. ELCA Lutherans share in the faith expressed in the Apostles’, Nicene and Athanasian Creeds, in the Lutheran confessional writings (collected as the Book of Concord), and in the ELCA Confession of Faith.
At the same time faith does not close our minds to the world and our hearts to others. We continue to listen to the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. We listen to the witness of others and we watch for the ways God is active in the world around us. Faith opens a place for engaging others in conversation, for seeking the truth, for asking questions and speaking love in word and deed.

Ascension Lutheran Church has one location at 1479 Morse Road, Columbus, Ohio. At this time, we have plans to expand our programs and services, but not our physical location.

Take I-71 south to the Morse Road/Sinclair Road exit; Turn left at the first stoplight and turn left again at the next stop light onto Morse Road. Go through 4 stop lights; The Haimerl Center and Serenity Park are on the right side of the road just before Karl Road.
From the south:
Take I-71 north to the Morse Road exit; Turn right at the bottom of the exit ramp onto Morse Road; Go through 3 stop lights; The Haimerl Center and Serenity Park are on the right side of the road just before Karl Road.
From the east/west:

Ascension Lutheran Church is a non-profit faith-based house of worship. We receive donations.
Which areas do you service?
As a church, Ascension provides each Sunday, two different styles of worship--traditional Lutheran worship at 9:00 AM, and Contemporary Lutheran worship at 11:15 AM, as well as both children and adult Sunday studies. Throughout the week, Ascension provides various faith-based programs including Bible Study, Music Ministry, Scouting for both boys and girls, multiple addiction recovery programs, and resource lists to community social services located throughout Columbus, Ohio. Ascension Lutheran Church also sponsors the Ascension Lutheran Preschool and Extended Care for children.

Sunday Worship and Fellowship from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NOON
